    How HPL works

    The HPL handpieces use photobiomodulation (PBM) to naturally stimulate cellular metabolism in the target tissue. This process enhances and speeds up cellular renewal and the production of new collagen and elastin. By activating the respiratory chain of the mitochondria, quantum photobiostimulation has a photobiological effect on cells, triggering a cascade of biochemical reactions. Specifically, cellular metabolism takes place in those cells which are more sensitive to light via the respiratory chain. Because sensitivity to irradiation and the capacity of activation depend on the physiological condition of the irradiated cells, cells with reduced oxidation are more reactive to irradiation.

    Lucis Light patch for Bruises
